vMix just announced new feature called "vMix Call" and I think this is a GAME CHANGER for the live streaming market! vMix Call allows users to instantly launch a video conference call inside their professional 4K capable video production software suite. So let's look at one of the live streaming industries most innovative video production companies who has slipped in a peer-to-peer video conferencing add-on to their latest release. So if your cliebts really want Broadcast grade stuff they have to adjust thier firewalls.Remember last week when we talked about Zoom Video Communications adding live streaming to their webinar platform (article here)? Now the video production software market is looking for a piece of the pie, in a converging industry with a combined worth an estimated $100+ Billion by 2020 (Video Communications & Live Streaming - See sources below)! You may experiment with skype for creators on youe side (wich had the ndi thing before teams) and cross talk between skype and teams is possible now. It has a ton of apps for launching office stuff in the background. I also consider teams as bloated for rhis task on your side. The Skype for Broadcast Solution (Teams is the successor of skype and i assume they use the same code) is still sold and maintained by ms. So in a non ndi teams session each particapant gets only one feed wich is calculated by the teams server.Īlso to be said that teams was not designed to do this in broadcasts reliable ways.
#Vmix call 1080p#
I would bet that teams isnt well optimized for doing this load to multithread operations.Īlso the Teams server has to send you each video feed directly wich is quite a lot bandwich even you wont get 1080p from teams its just upscaled (scaling costs power as well). So you should use virtual inputs inside vMix. if you double an input in vmix ad one stream bandwich. I would like to have an nic selection for ndi like the dante dvs does.īut your prozessors have to still calculate it. You must define routes or separate adress ranges to avoid this. (example you have two nics cable and wireless in the same network to router/switch. As long as the target is in 127.0.0.1.īut you cant define the route/nic an ndi stream goes.
